SQL 2005 , GP 9.0, SCSI Raid 1, 6 drives, 3 mirrors
Backedup GP with scheduler with no problems.  Tried to restore GP Company onto a normal PC with GP 9.0 and SQL 2005 but with no Raid.  GP experienced unknown error and will not continue the restore process.

Will different hardware component settings influence GP restore?  All we wanted to do is to restore GP Company to another computer for testing as well as making sure the back up file is valid.  Any ideas on where we should check on first?

Did you restore the Dynamics DB as well.  Plus, there are users assigned to the GP database that will not be in the new copy of SQL.  Can you login with SA?
