Updating Case with Workflows

I have a dialog that at some point creates 3 emails each for a specific purpose:

After each email is created a child workflow is started which waits until the email is sent and then updates the Case Status History to show that the specific email has been sent.

Although the Status History change is different for each email the system enters the wording of the first Status History and is then repeated for each of the other 2 updates. Instead of getting 3 differently worded Status History Changes I have the same one 3 times.

How can I overcome this?
