We've never had issues printing, but a couple days ago all of a sudden it has started taking at least 1 full minute to print one invoice. We have tried it on a couple different computers as well as from our terminal server, all with the same results. This morning our programmer followed the instructions in the following article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950713 with no change in performance. Anyone have any ideas? We are starting month end and have hundreds of invoices to print and are dreading this month end close.

My programmer said he rebuilt the indexes on INVHDR and INVDET, and they rebooted the application server running Solomon. It is still taking 60+ seconds to print one invoice.

Hey SBM - I don't know if you ever got any traction of this, but we've had this printing issue for 5+ years.  It CAN be instant, but it can take 5-10 minutes, even more (at times, HOURS) to generate the invoice, let alone print it.

If it's generating the invoice, and just taking a minute to print it, I'd suggest it's your printer driver (we had the drama where it was taking 30 seconds for each invoice to spool and it turned out to be the printer driver on the printer server).   If it's the latter - where you make the sale, and it takes ages to create the invoice from the shipper, then I'd love to know if you ever got an update to this!!

Hi David,
We finally got out of this program into a much better one, so I don't have any answers for you.

@SBM - yeah - sadly, that looks like the "fix" for a lot of Dynamics issues !! :(

Why print? Convert paper to digital-  reduce DSO and increase efficiency with click to pay from email or text, or login to pay multiple invoices from portal; payments post back to AX.
Easy to use, free to try.
