We are running (and have been for almost 10 years) Dynamics SL 6.5 on a Network with SBS 2003.  Most everything works great with the exception of releasing Inventory and Purchasing Batches.  One $0 Inventory Batch will take 5 - 10 minutes to release and cripples our entire system.  By that, I mean that Dynamics Users desktops will lock up so they can't use Dynamics at all until the release is complete.  As it is, we remotely log in at night and release the batches, but obviously something is wrong.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How about other batches?

Have you tried running the Profiler right before the release process? It might give you some clue as to which particular procedure is the culprit?

We sometimes have Inventory batches just get stuck in the middle of processing - sometimes Sales Orders just don't throw to Shippers and need manual intervention (re-releasing etc).
