    Posted: November 29 2011 at 1:25pm
We have been using Solomon IV v4 since 1999.  We've been having no problem with Transaction Import up until recently when we revamped the server structure.  On one of the two load-balanced servers we're getting this odd error, which goes something like this:

System Message 569: Unable to open file TIV5P5XK.TIM

I note the presence of variously-named .TIM files in the Solomon IV/BackOffice folder, some of them being empty and some of them containing what look like system-generated Intelligent Macro files.  The .TIM file mentioned in the error message does not exist.  In other occurrences of this problem, the .TIM filename is slightly different.  The general format is TI?????.TIM.

Does anyone have any ideas why this system message is being generated and what to do about it?

Thanks!

Have you checked the folder permission? Could be a problem with permissions.

Folder permissions appear to be the same as on the other server where we have no problem with transaction import.

I thought I should report how we solved the problem.  It turned out that the server in question was having multiple system problems -- and rather than trying to fix this 10-year-old machine we decided to replace it.  No further problems.
